Oh this is the fun kind of scary.

Alright, despite my frustrations with this, I really want to know what’s going on.

I like this story, but I’m really struggling with the writing style. My eyes just don’t want to stay on the page.

It’s pretty uncanny to be reading this and watching Welcome to Derry at the same time.

I almost hate to admit it, but this book is quite charming.

I’m really not getting the dynamic here. It seems like this is going for a stuck up nun/rude knight thing, but honestly she’s ruder than him, and he’s not even that much an as asshole. I don’t really understand Six at all.

While I am enjoying the vibes, I’m five stories in and none have been particularly good. The Hare and the Hound has been the best so far, but it felt the least on theme, and the end was a little dull.

I am becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the political tilt of this book.

This guy’s take on economics and how UBI would change things is…interesting.

Five pages! Five pages and I’m already misty eyed. I’m going to cry my whole way through this book.

This books makes me feel like I did when I was a kid and saw kissing scenes in movies. This is probably why I don’t read romance books.

Oh no. I think I figured out the twist and I don’t like it. I really hope I’m wrong.

This begins a little rocky, but once it gets into the mystery, it really starts rolling.

We’re over a hundred pages in. Can we not do the explaining how the magic works anymore? Can I skip this part? Like, enough, please.

This wasn’t billed as a romance, but personality-wise, I don’t think I’ve ever encountered such a smoking hot leading male character. I look forward to them knocking boots.

That’s a lovely way to respond to someone projecting that kind of shit on you, because the last time someone did that to me I wanted to fucking kill them.

So it’s magic as computer programming. Hm.

For such a paranoid person, Kit really isn’t paranoid enough.

The horror trope of the person who left “in the night” without leaving any word and leaving all their stuff behind, and everyone just believes that and doesn’t, like, call the cops and report them as a missing person is increasingly hilarious to me.

It’s really not good that Ambessa is the least interesting character.

I’m finding this premise a little implausible - everyone can’t be so dumb to think Ambessa killed someone just because a rival said so. Maybe I’m giving people too much credit.
