It's a slow read, mainly due to the fact that I want to draw out all that I can from this wonderfully crafted novel. The language is superb and I enjoy the fact that the storyteller cannot be trusted. He is the first to comment on the choices of his characters: "I dislike arranged marriages. There are some mistakes for which one should not be able to blame one's poor parents."
