character development. the 2 girls were kidnapped. the 1 died. the other survived. the one who died, her mom just committed suicide at a hotel.

it’s picking up! the commander is being nice to her! but is it just for his own good? why is he doing this? also offred got to see a picture of her daughter! why was serena joy being nice to her? she also got to see moira!! more history is being revealed!

so far i actually really like this book!there are some parts where i am confused,but thats how all dystopian books are.you dont know whats going on because their world is so different and things are confusing.it’s kind of like when i read fahrenheit 451.i its crazy how they have literal MAIDS to basically be surrogate mothers and they are just forced to do this.they get raped every month and have no choice…

the book is picking up in pace i’m so excited! all the kids are coming together so i know some stuffs about to go down soon! the adults are also having their reunion so that means drama is going to start happening again! this book has built up SO much and i am ready for the drama to come! there are still long winded flashbacks but some of them have been useful

so far this book has been pretty slow honestly. For a book that’s over 1000 pages I didn’t expect the entire book to be full of plot, twists and constant page turning action, but 250 pages of character background is getting a little boring. I’m hoping that it’s going to pick up soon. But right now we’re back in the childhood past of the summer when IT is coming, so I’m expecting some drama soon

i’m deeply disturbed by the way this book is going. at first i thought the relationship between kellen and wavy was going to be like a father/daughter one, and as it keeps twisting into more of an adult relationship, i keep getting more and more confused and frustrated. how are there all of these adults around and only 1 or 2 of them see a problem with this relationship?!

i can’t get past the puppies. i’m just too sad
