20+ hours to go in the audiobook but my loan expired so I must wait for my next hold to come through. This is a hefty tome. Very detailed and thoroughly researched. I made it to spring 1940, after Hitler took the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Military history is low on my list of interests but this book is really well-written and I'm glad to be more informed. I'll finish it eventually. But probably not soon.

why is Werner Herzog in this lol what!!!!!

Been wanting to read this for so long. Finally bought it as a Christmas gift for someone else and gonna try to finish it before I hand it off. Beautiful and potent so far

Still so confused...

The length of this book is intimidating, but I feel like I'm starting to understand how the story is being told. I can tell it's only the tip of the iceberg as the characters we follow are beginning to learn more about the world they inhabit. I'm very intrigued...

rereading on 1.25x audiobook speed in an attempt to actually finish the series..pretty cool story

Finally getting into it. The writing seemed a bit stilted and hard to immerse myself in for the first 100 pages or so, now it's picking up and I'm happily invested in the story.
