Omg. This book is charming.
Now: Gut punched.

Meh 🫤 not a great start. But I knew what I was getting into. Definitely going to need a substantial book after this. I’ve made a deal with myself: if it’s basic vanilla the whole way through, I have to read heavy Russian or beefy historical nonfiction.

Half way through and I have lost respect for the main character.
