I'm loving all the creatures In this book! The griffins are awesome. Loving Kit!

I'm really loving this book. Like always Diana Wynne Jones offers a variety of quirky, likable characters. I really love all of the animals that Derk has created.

Almost halfway through the book now. I like Millie well enough, but she's definitely no Emma. I'm really missing the Emma/Eadric banter that used to go on in their books. They're almost too parenty in this.

"This crumb loves me!" That is possibly the cutest quote I've ever seen.

Can't really tell where there going with this. Sometimes I think I know and then they throw some off the wall detail in and then it's confusing.

Just figured out why their Christmas is during the summer...wow I feel dense! New Zealand! duh!

Wow! That was a long one but it made up for it in addictive writing!

Awww! Miles is just so cute. He's such a sweetie. I feel so sorry for him with this zero chance with Luce thing.

Wow. Literally nothing happened this entire book and at the end it's just like BAM! Plot point! Death! Shock! Emotional Turmoil! Plot point!

Finished! It really doesn't surprise me much that they still didn't leave us with a conclusive plot, but there were benefits to drugging through this horror. I got to see an villain wear gold eye shadow!

Still don't know what page I'm on. I just wanted to comment on the fact that although Cam is one of my favorite characters and I'm rooting for him, I will never forgive him for that "you must be Luce's older sister" comment!

I'm not really on 250, but I don't remember what page I'm really on. Luce is driving me CRAZY. No, correction, Luce is CRAZY!!!!! I mean seriously. She's got Cam who is a wonderful guy who treats her great, but it just feels so "wrong" that he's being NICE to her. Instead she only wants to be with Daniel, who still treats her like poo even after you know why he's pushing her away. This book Is sooo frustrating!!!

Cam kissed her hand. "You must be Luce's older sister." To her left, Penn gagged into her elbow and whispered so only Luce could hear, "Please tell me someone else is nauseated." Don't worry, Penn. You are not alone.

Ok so far I've divided all the characters firmly in adore and hate categories. The only three winning spots in heart are Cam, Arriane and Penn. all of the other characters I really, really don't care for. In fact I kinda hate Daniel already...

Continuing on with my YA reading summer. This book was recommended to me by my bestie who has great taste, so we will see! :)

Okay so they just totally forgot to drop the hint on this Justin character. This book is baaaaad!

Wow, the main character is being such a jerk to this sweet Troy kid! Sometimes you just want to kick some sense into the MC a little!!

So because your Athena's kid your automatically a nerd? I mean, I get the Hephaestus kids I guess, there's no escape for that, but really?

Characters are at least a little less fluffy than Miss Cabot's, but I don't think anything can replace the glory of Percy Jackson.

So far better than I thought. Went into this book thinking "Percy Jackson meets Meg Cabot", in a ripoff way.

Pretty good as a stand alone though...

Started this book think it was a stand alone. At page 57 I'm definitely thinking otherwise. Come on here and so it is!
