DNF. I love Carian Cole but there was no chemistry and the heroine bored me. I felt sorry for her past but her problem began to annoy me.

The plot gets thicker! I need to spread the word about this book. I've never updated progress so often. I want to talk about this book with others and wax poetic about how fabulous it is.
Back to reading.

I can't stop reading! I haven't been this excited about a new author ever. I want her to grow and develop into something great. My only complaints are technical ones. The book does need editors.
We could have our next paranormal-romance-thriller-mystery writer, folks.
I desperately need her to continue in this world she has built. More, more, more!

I'm loving this book. I love the concept, the execution, and the slow, simmering burn.
I would like to see this book line edited. There are easily corrected mistakes. Also, I wish the language was a bit more formal, especially from the royals. However, these are technical issues and it's refreshing to have to only search for technical problems.
I hope the rest is just as good. Have a good reading day.

I'm only a chapter in, and oh man, it's hot! The author knows how to entice her readers.
I love the concept of a kingdom of Incubi and succubi. I've never read about that before.

I'm having a hard time getting through this book. I blame that on expectations. I was told that Mistborn is so much better than Elantris. "Holy crap! If Mistborn is better than this, then I have to read it now!" I thought.
The reviews are glowing for this series. I know that if I hadn't had such high expectations that I'd be over the moon happy with this book.
I'm taking a break to gain a fresh perspective.

I can't continue. I'm over halfway through and I'm still waiting for... something. I like getting into the character's heads and feeling what they do but I'm done. I need more than thoughts.

I like it but it's heavy on voicing the couple's doubts and emotions. Over and over. Don't get me wrong, I love getting inside the character's head and feel their angst but it's tedious. I am going to finish because I love the story line and the couple.

Loving this book. It's funny and it doesn't drag. I think I could use someone like the male hero in my life to tell me how things are with no bullshit.
