3/4 of the book is very slow, then it seems to go too fast trying to tie up loose ends. I loved the Japanese history aspects, which has made me interested in learning more. The pilot’s near fanatical belief in seppaku felt forced and unrealistic. Book also ends like the finale of House of the Dragon season 2…. So much build up without the payoff.
