A few familiar-ish endings…

The wife’s letter -
“The cattle were housed in a shed just next to the stairs leading to a woman’s headquarters.”
“I suffered only the pain of motherhood, I never experienced it’s freedom”

House number 1
“After 8 years of intimacy, I saw my wife for the first time through the letters of a stranger who had only a moments glimpse of her”

The Haldar family - a really good story with relatable but complex characters, starts off simple as a textbook rich family and shows the full transformation of almost every character out there.. it is rare to read a story to where everyone’s personality evolves but you don’t take sides with one of the other character or treat any of them as one-dimensional “good” or “bad” characters..

Simple, touching short stories so far, many feel like stories that would have been on black and white tv.

Good mix of sprites and a few gripping stories every once in a while.. The small assassin (baby) has been the most chilling so far..

It may seem a bit of a stretch to compare pay-for-performance plans to religious notions of redemption or enlightenment or karma, which are decidedly different from behaviorism, but the if-then contingency is just as salient in the latter set of ideas.
