I know I’m still at the very start of the book but since the characters are old friends, and definitely we understand they like each other, I feel like we just don’t get the chemistry between them. There’s nothing that makes me see their attraction. I don’t even know what happened between the two in all these years. Should have been written completely differently

Okay so let me get this straight:
They have been together for 6 years and are engaged.
He breaks up with her out of nowhere with an article.
He’s all like “we need a break blablabla”
She leaves.
After life 4 days they meet again and he says “let me take you out to dinner”.
But she is already over him.
6 years and an engagement all over in 4 days?
And he forgot about it already like wth am I reading?!

Chapter 61 is the most beautiful sex scene I’ve ever read probably.
So intimate. So emotional. So gentle too.
It was real and earned.
Even the whole process, of getting to it, the description of her writing Henry and Willa’s pov. I found it absolutely perfect.

What the hell was chapter 33?!

Why do I feel like I’m reading the same stuff and lines from the first book?
Them asking questions, having sex before the games, “how do you like potatoes?”, meeting for New Year’s Eve.. idk

I do really want to read this series, but I’m struggling with this right now. Feels a little too fake and with strained descriptions of the characters. Contrived theme, as much as I know it’s a trope and it’s not the first book I read with it, this one can’t seem to make sense. Forced text in general
