I’ve read this book back in 2023, it’s my first classic and I didn’t really enjoy it. I decided to re-read it again before jump into Anna Karenina.

I promised to never dnf-ing ang book, but 12% into this book and I kinda want to give up. Idk it’s just not what I was hoping to read (and I don’t even have any expectation). every page that I read just makes me want to rush to the end so I can pick another book.

I love this book! I love N character, but I kinda hate Nga-Yee for how she lack understanding of the situation through the investigation process, maybe it’s because all her life she spent it to help her mother & never really have a childhood nor adolescence. btw on this far of the book you will know the culprit, but the story is not over since there’s other party involved. I can’t wait how the story will ends!

I’m hooked already. something tells me I’m going to like it more than The Poppy War

I started reading it knowing nothing, and at this point I’m not sure whether it’s about a love story or a survival through wartime? either way, I find myself quite enjoy it.

I’m on chapter 10. a lot has been going on since my last assumption and now I just don’t know anymore. lots of person of interest (for me, a lot more than what is written on the list). anw I think I’ve watched the movie version of this book before? I’m quite familiar with the scenes, but it was long ago so I don’t remember the ending.

I’m on chapter 4 and now I’m scared my assumption will be right (ps. I watched movie and series from Harlan Coben, and they have the same scene as “calling the missing person’s phone million times”, and it’s suspicious enough)

ok this is where I hate the book, chapter 30. doesn’t make sense to me. you could have called your bestfriend for help? or just tell your date you need help, what’s wrong with you? you’re a nurse you should know yourself better. I hate the fact that she’s so aloof to the boy who obviously like her, although it’s gotta be something about her past that make her what she is. but fr???

got me hooked from the very first chapter! still with the same giggly feel as any other two f
