Nona ends up saving her dad, the ending felt a bit rushed. A good book going back to reading but rating it 3 stars. Not bad but not great

I find it hilarious that Alejandro and Nona are fucken flirting while murders are happening and trying to get her dad out of prison, like girl what?!

Nona's dad has gone to jail. Do we think he did it? Mmm no but I'm so confused wtf is going on that house. It sounded like she was teleporting between rooms and memories- again like hill house- but trying to figure out what happen to her mom. Also the Nun is lowkey a G for keeping her as a teacher despite parents complaints, even though she can be rude af. I also don't fully trust the reporter dude either.

The book reminds me a lot of the haunting of hill house as it has a lot of tragic nostalgia related to a big house. Antonia is a teacher at a Catholic school even though her beliefs don't align with the Catholic Church. Her mother died tragically in the big castle like house her father the architect built. She has some dark ghost like apparitions.
