Sensual, poignant and perspicacious. How did I manage to have not read anything by Angela Carter for so long?

Just started rereading this and my heart is full. It is amazing how much I love this book. No matter how many times I've reread this, Tartt's prose sings and every page still brings me so much joy and melancholy.

Listening for the second time on Audible just because I love listening to Tartt's southern accent and the voice of her reading bits and pieces of Latin, French and Greek. This woman is one of a kind--- extraordinarily intelligent, deeply literary, self-assured and at the same time, sweet. Love watching her interviews too. So fanatically in admiration with everything about her.

This is breaking my heart to pieces.

This one freaking hard to get through. My most difficult read with Donna Tartt yet. Ugh... you finished every 100 pages and realised that nothing ever happened. Although, I have to admit grudgingly that only Donna Tartt can write like this.
