The first page in the first chapter and I'm already annoyed.

In the Katzenbach hearing, McCarthy heard something terrifyingly stirring - genuine tyranny in America, Now he heard something else - a roar against tyranny. That roar came straight out of the heart and soul of the American people, the the hope and inspiration it gave McCarthy changed him.
