Roach is very, very funny and I have found myself holding back snickers at what could otherwise be a very grim subject - but she also handles the subject with tact many others have failed to maintain.

I’ve considered dropping this a few times because it hasn’t provided a ton of new information outside of what you’d gather from having a passive internet in cults. And coining “cultish” to describe high-control-group-adjacent activity feels like it’s supposed to be clever but isn’t. Overall the audiobook feels like I have a youtube video researched largely off Wikipedia playing.
