First impression: first chapter. this is reading like a prequel to The Giver. In The Giver, nobody knows colors, items, etc. In this, we learn that things are "disappeared" from society and everyone slowly forgets about their existence.

This book reads like a fanfiction of Jurassic Park more than it's own story. It really needs to be proof read.
Several scenes/lines are ripped straight from JP. "life, uh, finds a way." the whole "can a t-rex swim" scene in the river.
I was so excited to read this, but I'm struggling.

I love all the characters so far, but I would throw hands for Thimble. 😍

Is there such a thing as a romance with healthy communication? Kristen is so annoying with her "I'm saving you from yourself" attitude. Like, nope. You're just being pathetic and stupid.

There's a whole lot of push for biological children. Sure, some people want that, whatever. But that fact that supposed BFF Sloane knows how miserable Kristen's life has been, missing out on so much, but as soon as Kristen mentions "hey I'm getting a hysterectomy that will drastically improve my quality of life" all of a sudden Sloane is INCONSOLIBLE that Kristen won't have biological kids. That's a shit move.

I have so many gripes with this so far.
- We get it, Kristen's *not like other girls*. Great, I don't need to be told every chapter. I'm pretty tired of this trope.
