Setting: The book Cracker is taking place in the training facility where its raining and very muddy near evening. As stated in the book "Rick picked up Cody and threw him into the mud." This shows that the setting is taking place in mud and was pouring rain. Rick threw Cody into the mud and said "I don't need a trophy to know cracker and I will be the best team." This shows that its taking place in mud.

Cracker is a non fiction book about a girl dog who gets took away from her owner. She gets put in a military training program and her owner is now Rick. Rick is trying to get cracker to get used to him by giving her wieners , and calling her good girl. This talks about the history of a military dog cracker which shows its historical fiction.

Cracker is a Usa dog hero that was with her owner Willie but got shipped off to the USA military and is undergoing training. I wanted to read this book because I love the USA and German Shepherds. So far I love the book and Cracker reminds me of my German Shepherd, Prince.
