Oooo the books getting goood. There’s a love triangle building 🫣

I’m following a bit better. It was difficult with the accent, but now I am getting to know the characters and how the author writes.

Although I am not the worst case of putting things off, I am finding some helpful tips and mindset shifts in this book that are valuable, and I will reflect on later, when things feel more overwhelming

It is blowing my mind. How much our systems and laws combined to suppress communities, it’s really heartbreaking.

So disheartening to learn about the ways multiple sectors contributed to the racial segregation of neighborhoods and definitely hugely important for the US government to step in. hoping later chapters we learn about how they established systems to prevent this from happening and how they are rectifying the situation.

Super excited to start this!

I really liked the portion about finding what makes you uncomfortable and identifying it to introduce stressors and strengthen those weaknesses.

I also like the part about not responding to arguments or situations when emotions are heightened and instead taking a step back.
