Whenever I can't figure out what to write, or am stuck on inspiration, I always make sure I revisit works that have inspired me in the past -- especially books I'd grown up on. It always seems to work for me. Rather than forcing myself to work, I search for things to inspire me to work.

These poems are so easy to binge read!

I'm loving these stories. Each one has a lesson behind them, a certain theme driving it. I feel like that's exactly what horror should be. Cannot wait to finish the book!

I love how Vuong utilizes the word 'like', and doesn't overuse it. He picks and chooses which analogies to use it with, while the rest of the poem is still filled with metaphor without its use. It gives each poem much more of an impact.

I love revisiting books I loved as a kid... and so far, this one is no different! I'm feeling the creative juices getting ready to be juiced already.

This poetry collection is eating my soul in the best way. Vuong is so emotive that it's like I can feel each poem, rather than just reading them.
