So far, and I understand it’s a fantasy book, I am a little disturbed by the current imperial tone to the world. It may be a me thing with how strongly I feel about imperialism but yknow whatre you going to do. Vella reminds me of gen-AI or AI in-general which is an interesting way of looking at it, although Vella was a real person, or so we are told to believe.
