Working thru the Introduction by Bernard Knox. I usually avoid Intros but since I alr know the story, it was needed. Also learned some facts about the dactylic hexameter - still working my head around it but I got a good idea how it goes, gave me a good sense of how to actually read the book: "Has a feel of a wave rising and cresting before it falls on the shore and draws back." Why am I reading such long and convoluted explanations into how Bunny thinks about things after the major plot point? Sure, letting the readers know how he can push the other characters' buttons might be relevant, but why does it span so many pages. Fine, maybe its a testament to how unbothered and having misplaced judgment the others hold. But BOY it's slow to read this part
