18 pages in and i genuinely thought the narrator was a struggling, stressed woman watching holly from the sidelines. i was even audacious enough to laugh when holly said the narrator resembled her brother fred because, in my mind, saying that to a woman is HILARIOUS only to realise that the narrator was, in fact, a man (mentally picturing dan humphrey). needless to say, i’m at a loss for words.
