Interesting storyline. It's an engaging time of history to read about. (The historical part if the book, not the current day part.) I am still waiting to like the main character. Maybe it will happen.

I am still not sure what the author's intention is, but I am halfway through the book and still find that I don't like Alix at all. The characters are interesting and the story seems ready to ramp up (finally).
