I’m pecking away at this as a weekend book while focusing on 1Q84. It’s a Kindle Unlimited read, honestly it’s a pretty easy read. I like the idea of the premise but don’t know how it’ll play out. It definitely seems like a story that could and probably will be adapted to either a series or a movie.

Brando Sando is so good at crafting characters you want to spend time with. I wasn’t planning on starting this but it’s a good counter-balance to Murakami, whom I’m also currently reading.

I will circle back and start this when I’m in a more nonfiction mode

I don’t know how I will like the other books in this series because but so far this is spectacular!

Reading this while listening to a playlist of all the music mentioned in this book. It’s tremendously enhanced my experience.

I can see how many things this book has influenced going back and rereading this years later

I like the premise of this story. It sounds like Suicide Squad meets Van Helsing. I’ve never read any Abercrombie before so I’m looking forward to this!

Well I didn’t see that one coming! This is NOT another found-family tale from Brando Sando!

This has vibes of Mistborn with the found family crew in an enemy city planning something. This isn’t a complaint but an observation. Mistborn was my entry into the Cosmere so I tend to see those patterns more so than his other books.

It feels like it’s building towards something but I’m not quite sure what it is yet. There’s a lot of interesting characters that you don’t get enough time with to figure them or their intentions out. I like it so far.

I read the first four chapters and I’m beginning to see patterns or reoccurring themes in Sanderson’s work. That’s not a knock or a complaint, just an observation. I obviously like his work because I keep picking up his books and really appreciate his stories.

This book is like if Tarantino wrote The Matrix and The Fifth Element and mixed them. It is crazy how this predicted Metaverse, VR worlds and online identities along with the commercialization and branding of almost everything.

I’m fascinated with Physics. I particularly interested in quantum mechanics vs classical physics and how the two can’t reconcile each other. I like the idea of the smartest minds in the world saying “I don’t know”!

This was recommended to me by my friend Jay. I’m taking a break from the Cosmere and taking a cyberpunk detour. So far this book is very…jittery and anxious. I’m not sure yet if that’s intentional. After this book I’m going to where the genre started: Neuromancer.

So far this book is as epic as the hype said it was!

After reading the three original Mistborn novels in succession I really need to step into a new world. I’m sad I’ll never see Vin or Elend again or be enraged by Breeze. I’ll miss TenSoon and Sazed I think. Their story ended in a bittersweet but there was a beautiful symmetry in it as well. It’s time for a new adventure…

I think Spook is hearing Ruin in his head, it’s not Kelsier. The same as Zane. I fear something bad will happen…

So it seems like there is a bit of a time jump between the end of book two and this one. Now all of a sudden Elend is a badass? Idk…

Just finished The Well of Ascension and right into book three!

I really hope the kandra imposter isn’t a character I like…

Things are picking up. I don’t get the negative reviews, so far it’s pretty darn good.

So far I like it. I’ve seen some negative reviews but idk I’ll make up my own mind. The second story of a trilogy is very tricky. Anyways, I’ve been enjoying my second Sanderson book and hope to finish it soon.
