So far, this is a 3. It's very slow and I'm just not that interested. This came highly recommended, so I'm powering through.

When I was a kid, I used to imagine a superhero whose power was simply being smart; perhaps using that 90 percent of humans' brains that the cliché references. I've come across this in characters before, but this perhaps comes closest.

Really enjoying this! Very clever magic system, good world building and compelling characters. Highly recommend to fans of D&D.

Not that I had any illusions going in, but there is no way in hell I could do what these people are doing. I'm practically hyperventilating just reading about it.

Amazing to read Garfield's reaction to being elected President and his lament over losing his family time. Can't imagine a candidate reacting that way today, though I'm sure they do miss their personal time.

Just started and I'm already reminded of Time and Again with the mention of the Centennial Exhibition and the Statue of Liberty bring built.

About halfway through listening to this. I've seen the movie, so obviously comparing it to that... I find it really interesting that halfway through, Bloomqvist and Salandar have yet to meet when in the film they did sooner. I know that if I were listening to this without having seen the movie, I would be wondering, what is the connection between these two story lines?

So far everything's coming up roses for the protagonist. Something bad better happen or this is just the story of a douche lawyer.

I think this guy owes John Carpenter some royalties. Seems just like The Thing so far.

A little disappointed so far. Not sure if my expectations were too high or what. I find the dialogue to be a bit weak and the main character isn't that well developed. Also, I think it's harder to accept a fantastical world/setting when the story starts out in the real world.

Really excited to start this one. Love the promise of Dark Tower influence and the reviews have been pretty good.

This is the kind of schlock that should be made into Tom Cruise movies, not Jack Reacher.

Was surprised to figure out a few of the early clues before they were revealed, that never happens because I usually don't think like to think that hard. Really good book, couldn't put it down, but dark, sad and tragic. Have to read something light next.

Not bad. Curious to read more about the character and see how he develops.
