Look, the action sequences are great fun and the author clearly had a blast making them.

That said, how many awkward boners can one man write out in a book about a man stealing an alien artifact?

There was a pretty exciting space heist sequence that occurred. The VA remains phenomenal all throughout.

I’m still kinda creeped out by how the main character continues to describe the designer lady companion - it gives me the heebie jeebies

It’s a fun book but can we move beyond describing the specifically genetically engineered anime girl in such.. desirable terms? I don’t need to know how the main character sees her boobs.

A fun ride, but a a bit predictable, as I saw the whole “protagonist tries to lie to potential love interest about his plan to sabotage her quest for ancient alien tech in dangerous space territory by teaming up with the AI she created” twist a mile away.

And the way he constantly describes the genetically engineered anime waifu girl is a bit… off putting. It’s kinda voyeuristic

I’ve got to the part where revelations are revealed and whatnot, but can the protagonist NOT constantly describe the genetically altered to be perfect real life anime girl in such a creepy manner? It’s giving me the heebie jeebies

I’m REALLY hating Miranda at this point. Her bully tactics remind me of how my old and current bullies operate, and her insistence she’s done nothing wrong angers me at a primeval level.

The narrator is absolutely fantastic. Miranda’s VA also really sells the character. Absolutely wonderful job so far
