Maybe I should have checked the publish date before I started as this is nowhere near the quality of the other books I've recently finished by this author. So far I'm bored and having to talk myself into continuing. Also, the blurb didn't really make it clear that this is a college aged romance. Ugh.

This is not off to a promising start. I’ve just finished chapter 6 and so far so boring.

I'm wondering if there are previous books set in this world that I should have read prior to this one. There are a lot of things talked about like I should know what they are, but I'm pretty lost.
Still finding it interesting enough to continue.

I hate the main character. I have absolutely no sympathy for her, I think she's a selfish, stupid woman. The problem is I don't think I'm supposed to feel that way.
I would have given up on this book chapters ago except my mum really loved it (especially the ending) and I'm waiting to see if there is anything that can redeem it.

I'm really glad I started watching the new series based on this book before I started reading it otherwise I might not have bothered. From the show I know that it's a great story, but I am so distracted by the overdone writing style of the book that if I didn't know what was coming I would have given up by now.
"I walk along the gravel path that divides the back lawn, neatly, like hair parting.". Ugh.

Just like the last book in this series I'm finding this hard to get through. I don't care about the characters, I'm rolling my eyes at a lot of the writing, and the only reason I haven't given up is that I hate not finishing books.
I actually really enjoyed the first books in the series. I don't know if I'm just over the genre and am being unfair to this book, or if it really is that dull.

I've enjoyed the series so far but am struggling with this one. I just don't care about the characters. They're just too generic.
