Still struggling to concieve a culture where only women can read and write, yet partriarchy still rules... my brain doesn't think this would happen.

The inverted cross as a symbol of devil worship? Really? Is your character supposed to be stupid or did you do no research? Waiting impatiently for another character to contradict him and I don't think its going to happen..

Uh, methinks the author has a bit of a personal atheist axe to grind, judging by this dialogue.

Ugh. Never would expect this of Mieville, but this has ELJames-style writing problems thats making really hard to understand! :(

This book is really wierd. can't read much of it at a time :S

Finding this hard going tbh. The plot is fairly simple and theres too much unneccessary detail and over-dramatisation.

I love Dicken's writing, but it still takes a long time to get through his books. Maybe I'm savouring... yeah.. savouring..

I generally 'like' most reviews, even if I don't entirely agree with them. If they're interesting enough to read through they definately deserve the vote. All opinions are valid. :)
