I learned so much from this book, the author did an amazing job. Everyone should read it.

I was reading this for book club. It’s fine? But the ebook lapsed and I’m not going to get it again to finish. It’s 100% Sherlock fanfic and I’m not a super fan. If I wanted mystery I’d do a Gamache and if I wanted cozy WW2 British I’d do Guernsey. Unfinished.

This was a little slow to get started and I actually didn't know what it was about -- just put it on my list bc of the Pulitzer and didn't read anything about it -- but now that I'm in it I really love it!

This book is amazing, but perhaps the most painful thing I've read as a mother. I have been bawling while reading since I hit 50%. I can't put it down, if only because it is so painful to me to need it that I need it to end.
That said this author is incredible and I'll be seeking out the rest of her work when I finish.

Rereading bc after my obsession with Florida this summer I wanted to see if I would be more open to Groff's style and able to appreciate the things I disliked originally...and I am and I do! Enjoying this reread. Still impatiently waiting to get to Mathilde's story.

I'm so glad I took a break from the book I wasn't really enjoying and started reading this one. I just started and I've already highlighted it in 4 places! I'm really excited to keep reading.

Rereading this childhood favorite while waiting for some of my library holds. It's just as charming and funny as it could be.

Just started, but this is definitely reminding me of Goldfinch and that's not a good thing... I'm scared :-/

this book started a bit slow, but I was quickly reminded of what an amazing writer Ishiguro is (I loved Never Let Me Go). The way he slowly draws out a story is remarkable. I've found myself thinking about this book randomly during the day and makimg realizations about what is actually being told (vs what is explicitly said). Great writing.
