So far, an excellent overview of existentialism in the context of historical narrative and some autobiography. What I first thought would be a skimpy flirtation with big ideas has turned out to be a novel introduction to a difficult concepts that creates a real investment into those ideas. Despite the author's best intentions, however, she can't do much to redeem the sillier aspects Sartre's biography.
