The present tense used in this book really bugs me. Is it normal to use this tense? I find myself translating everything I read into past tense.

Oh wow the characters in this book are awesome~~ I especially like Christine and her Mum. The last book I read was completely shallow this is like a breath of fresh air.

The MC is so unlikable! UGGH

I don't get how people hate Twilight but love this so much.

Wow she really is the lamest assassin EVER. She's all talk no action and its getting annoying. Worst of all is the girl-on-girl hate spurred on by petty jealousy over getting attention from the mensss. And I honestly do not care which of the guys finds her attractive. The romantic tension in this book is as stale as a crusty old booger. Please get better....

I thought I would love Chaol because I HAVE A THING FOR BROODY CAPTAINS. Captain Levi Ackerman is my ultimate AOT bias.

But Chaol is basically Four from Divergent. He doesn't seem Captain-ey enough.

I'm struggling to stay awake, guys this book is boooring so far.




I don't want to write it off and say its bad because I know that I'm just not the target audience anymore. But I read the raven boys a few weeks ago and it kept me up all night. Kind of wish I was reading it right now. That's not a good sign.

hmm so far its just typical YA stuff. Kind of boring actually.

I feel so conflicted. There are so many elements I adore about this series but there is something missing also. I find myself impatiently wanting to get to the end because the story drags on too much even though I appreciate all of the little details and nuances of the story.

I'm so glad the scene with Noah and Blue hanging out exists - best part of the book so far.

I'm very disappointed by the slut shaming and in the inclusion of my most HATED YA trope: When the main girl is publicly with guy number 1 and she gets crazy jealous because another girl is eyeing guy number 2. What is so appealing about slut shaming? how does it make the main character look good in comparison??
