from the chapter on Jeremiah:
"Do you ever find God's Word offensive? When that's the case, are you tempted to assume that "maybe we are all just interpreting it in the wrong way"? If so, why would you assume that something is wrong with the Bible and not assume that something is wrong with your understanding and your desires? In other words, why would you give yourself the benefit of the doubt and not God's Word?"
