Great book which gives us a lot of details of the final days of the USSR. The current war between Russia and Ukraine is the echo of the dramas in 1991 and from the Russian perspective they do believe they are entitled to the eastern part of Ukraine and the Crimea. However, Putin openly violated the principles agreed by Yeltsin and other republic leaders in 1991 and it is a great mistake.

Great book which gives us a lot of details of the final days of the USSR. The current war between Russia and Ukraine is the echo of the dramas in 1991 and from the Russian perspective they do believe they are entitled to the eastern part of Ukraine and the Crimea.
