OMG, this is exhausting, absolutely everything happens in dialogue, which means Wren pretty much just talks to herself or her dog constantly. There’s no background to flesh Wren out as a person, and she seems to have no emotional responses to anything. Even when she talks to a ghost, her main response is to say “Did I just talk to a ghost?” to her dog and then she toddles off to do her laundry.

Two sentences in and this book is already giving me the sh*ts. He’s going to be mad at you for not setting an alarm to wake him up on time? What is he, a child? Move on already. Ugh.

I know what Matthew Rwilly’s writing style is like, but I’m on holidays and couldn’t help myself. The book is annoying me already.
