I liked this more than I thought I would a few chapters in.

I knew who did it less than 20 pages in. That didn’t greatly take away from the book and may have made the ending better bc a wild twist with no logic wasn’t required, but …

Dimestore. Takes the Boys in the Hood, South Central, Menace II Society story and blows it out into a nearly comically saturated level.Author is excellent describing LA at the the time accurately and vividly.
