Every time the author says "Dear reader" I get Jane Eyre flashbacks. Long book, but I am really getting sucked in. . .

OK, I hope this book improves. Right now, it is reading like a really bad MF romance, where the woman is such an idiot she makes the entire female race look bad. . .

Ugh, I am loving the individual stories, but then they end! I feel like so many of them should be developed into full length novels in their own right, and I'm frustrated because I want more!

And I've never read about anyone trans before -- eye-opening, but I wanted to know more about he grows up and comes to terms with life. Can someone please take this story and add about another 10 years to it? Please???
