It feels really dumb to give up on such a short and easy book, but I'm just so vehemently bored that I put off doing chores or reading anything just so I didn't have to keep reading this one. ):

I'm obsessed with this book as of like 15 minutes in; there's a lot about it that's very much my style, but it's totally possible I'm obsessed purely because Moira Quirk using Crux voice for the gargoyle is absolute perfection

Not me openly weeping at work when Rosethorn talks about how disheartening it is to work with such tired, worn-out soil. How she is doing her best to help the plants restore it but it is hard to see the hope in it. Damn.
