A dark romance w/a MMC in org crime who does awful things later (I peeked @reviews) & I've already laughed out loud several times. This isn't a dark comedy (thankfully), but they're real people. Morally grey ppl can be funny. People in the business of doing terrible things to others are still human. I'm stunned that Gio has flaws-real flaws that bother him. I think this might be a better book than I was looking for.

MILD SPOILER. I love this exchange between Queen Eldinar & Talon. It shows that the man his father raised is still there & how much he's grown since finding Calista:

Relationship fanfic. It's what young women want men to be like. This is boring and hard to believe. I'm only reading this for the Reading Insights event so I'll probably DNF this.

God of Malice was the best. After that, each one went increasingly downhill.

I need to suck it up, get it over with & move on to one I'll enjoy.
