So far, a promising introduction to Revelation. Particular attention paid to misinterpretation.

By reading this book, I feel as if I'm relearning how to love my neighbour.

This is—forgive me Lord—one of my first forays into Black Theology (besides required reading for my Black Preaching class). It's challenging and wonderful. I had always taken for granted "that quiet sense of security which comes from knowing you belong and the general confidence it inspires." This is helping me see through a fresh set of eyes.

I've wept twice. This is so beautiful.

Part one of this book is decidedly more gripping than Part Two. Katz's exit at the end of Part One signals a shift of tone. As of Chapter 18, it is still a good read, but lacks some of the lighthearted moments.

This is the first book in ages that I'm being required to read.
