I don’t know how I feel about this so far. I was hoping for more travel related stuff, and we do get there at some points, but her idea of a good trip (and the focus of most of her travels) differs strongly from mine.

Not liking it yet, very repetitive speech in the writing and feels like she is trying to endear the reader to her justification for all the decisions/mistakes she’s making

NOT loving the interaction so far but we’re only 18% in, we got some time

There’s a lot of “perfect” and “domestic” in this book

Not my preferred writing style but the comparisons from what I believe to be normal life & the new reality for these women are interesting to consider. I’ve never read this book in school before, so I’m seeing what I missed out on (probably wouldn’t have appreciated it in school though)

Oh, this is so nostalgic - saw someone mention there aren’t enough references to the 90s, but I think if the author made them any more overt, it would overwhelm the story. It’s the lack of more modern items and the sprinkling of 90s every day life that makes this tug at the heartstrings of nostalgia
