Generally, it's been a bore to me, so far. Hopefully it'll get better.

Never did I ever suspect—before reading her work—what I know feel to be indisputable: Suzanne Collins is a fantastic writer.

Of all the business books I've ever read, this one is by far my favorite. He's just so much fun.

I don't care what anyone might say: I can imagine nothing sexier than finally being able to argue coherently about not just globalization but basically all sides of it (for, against, kinda, sorta, etc) as well.

Also, this is coming from someone who thinks The Economist is fun (it is), so take this with a small hill of salt, but this book looks like nothing short of a non-stop thrill ride so far.

I can not tell a lie: this book has been an unfortunate, dreary slog. What's more, Russian names and characters all blend together.

So far, so amiable. But I'm impressed by just how notably useless and redundant the advice is, despite Carol Leifer seeming likable personally. Her writing style is very approachable and flows well, and I've easily breezed through the pages until where I am now. I do enjoy that she's lived it, proving it empirically; and the feeling of candor and integrity she gives off, which makes the text feel warm and come alive.
