Wow there are a lot of conversations in this book. And not a whole lot of actions. Pretty bored so far.

I give up. I can’t take it any more.

Sticking with it. There’s some interesting stuff here, but it requires a lot of skimming. I wish it was a BOOK book and not a transcript. The editor brags about this idea in the introduction and I’m just like WHY GOD WHY.

This book is basically just a conversation between Campbell and some other old white dude and if they don’t stop complaining about the youths and/or technology, I’m not going to make it much longer. Much of what they’re discussing is terribly outdated, I’m afraid.

Super interesting, but the writing is disorganized and muddled. I’m not loving it. I also can’t keep track of all these people, but that’s my own shortcoming.

I have much less tolerance for these fools than I did when I first read this book.

Could really have done without the transphobic joke on page 309 that misnames Caitlyn Jenner and accuses her of dressing in drag.

Leave it to Bill Bryson to get me reading again.

Not being pregnant any more also helps. Turns out sleep deprived mom brain works better than sleeps all the time pregnancy brain. Who knew?

I am enjoying this book, both the kindle edition and the full cast audiobook. However, there are two aspects I really could do without: the unnecessarily detailed coin tricks and the extended metaphorical dream sequences.
