Im halfway into the book and am considering DNFing it. I am so incredibly frustrated with the inner monologue of the main character who is a struggling artist. I feel like every 5 minutes she brings up how nobody understands her art- this list includes her friends, other artists, galleries she has applied to and art shows. After hearing it for the 1000th time I feel like her art sucks and she’s just pretentious.

Only about 50% of the way through and entirely irritated by the main character Diem and the author. Diem is a healer and at this point was treating a woman who it’s strongest implied was literally just sexually assaulted and decides to ask the patient about what lingerie to wear because the patient is a prostituite and Diem thinks it’ll help lighten the trauma. This is not ok at all. Probably gonna DNF this one.
