This is just to say, in case anyone was wondering (no one was wondering):….. the Blood album by In This Moment is perfect for Poppy and Tyler. And about half the songs are even more perfect for Tristan/Isolde/Mark in Honeycut. I’m having such a meta moment rn you don’t even know.

You know when you have that moment where you’re like « I wish I could forget ever reading this so I could enjoy reading it again for the first time »? I somehow managed to create that for myself with this reread because omfggggggggg how could I have possibly forgotten my life-changing intro to Ms. Simone with this??? I’m fangirling giggling kicking my feet like it’s the first time omggggg

Turns out one of my reading icks is the use of « male » and « female » instead of just man and woman. That shit pulls me out SO FAST

I mean I’m not reeeaalllyyyy buying into all the « fae daddy » hype (find it just a bit cringe) but I am otherwise having a decent time.

Rereading in prep for Devil (so fucking excited) and omgggggg I forgot how quickly Sierra Simone made me fall in love with her the first time I picked this up.

Thank the small gods for reading this at a bright and sunny 11am because this lil bit with the fleshers and the bones would unironically give me low-grade nightmares otherwise.

It’s always fun to note and poke at the writing peculiarities and habits of different authors, and the turns of phrases they get obsessed with using Mr. Dinniman certainly is “angling” for a spot in that game.

I’m a little confused if I’m now supposed to think they’re romantic?? With his “oh so gracious” compromises in the relationship??
