This is very hard to get through. Sands writes about some very inane things, like dog's potty comfort.

If in the telling of Casteel's POV nothing new and important is shown, I'll be very upset for the waste of my time.

These stories just confirm why I never got into the RPG Masquerade. It doesn't appeal to my generation. The game came along for my son's generation. Unfortunately, as much as I tried to instill the pleasure of reading, which is needed for this role playing game, my son is more of a hands-on type of guy.

I'm finding this book very hard to get through. When I read rave reviews and it's supposed standing in vampire book history, I immediately understand who's history that is.
I will put it aside for now.

I vaguely remember reading this book about 20 years ago. I didn't remember the FMC as being so unlikable, entitled and judgy.
I believe that the author plans to do a rewrite. I hope she improves the main character.
At this point, I'm rooting for the villain.

I read this, the 1st book in the series, about 20 years ago. I'm doing a reread to start the 4 book series.

I have a feeling this book will get a really good rating. Love it so far.

I've put off starting this series no more.

I know these characters are ignorant, uneducated chaps but the misogynistic and racist remarks and behavior is getting to be too hard to skip over. It's becoming almost all there is. Humans really are more monstrous.

I'm having a bit of a hard time focusing on this book. It's too much like a traditional romance, not a fan of those.... Vampire Goddess had more action and a dystopian world to keep me intrigued.

Interview With the Vampire series on AMC has me re-reading the Vampire Chronicles. I haven't read them since the the 1st time, which was their release date. Except for Interview, which I read in '83.

I've been away from the Vampire Chronicles since 2016 when Realms of Atlantis was released. While I was reading Prince Lestat, I realized that I needed to do a re-read of the series then life got in the way. I had forgotten so much it affected my enjoyment of these later books. Getting old sucks! Cracking open my boxes of books tomorrow and tuck in with the late, great Anne Rice.
