Beginning wonderfully well. Beautifully written, it he author has the self-confidence to take time with the story and the details. I can feel the smoke of London, the crunch of snow underfoot and the welcome warmth of tea and toast in the afternoon.

One of the very best books I've read in a long time; you'll look at food, health and medicine in a completely new way.
