An Amazon reviewer gave it “Five saucy stars.” What choice did I have except to read it as my final book of the summer break?

The topic is dark, but the writing is superb and the story is meticulously crafted. There are so many twists and turns! I was completely immersed from start to finish.

I read this and then dove into an immediate re-read. The first read, I just went along for the fun ride. The second read, I picked up on so many clues/references I had initially either missed, glossed over, or mentally filed away to revisit. I enjoyed how the authors built such an intricate plot that unfolded through Maggie’s eyes. I also enjoyed the complexities of all the characters.

I think books that are 1k pages should count as two books towards my goal.

So far, I have to say this is the best holiday romance I have read!

I’m really enjoying this so far!

A few years ago, I might have though while reading that this could happen to us. Now I’m reading and thinking, “ This is already happening.” That’s a terrifying reality.

It was a very slow start for me with all the world-building, but I’m all in now!

I almost don’t want to keep reading, because then I will finish this book! It has captivated me. I love everything about it.
