Reading DeLillo is like watching Lebron in his prime. Just writing circles around me.

The white, educated elite, are forced to confront their bigotry by (literally) crawling into a toilet and wading through a swamp of shit, coming face to face with a solipsistic, half-true facsimile of American identity.

Then, in the next "chapter," Pirate Prentice has to masturbate onto a piece of paper to reveal a secret message.

The chapter with Roger and Jessica (the Poisson equation) is one of my favorite things I've read in a while.

This is one of the funniest books I've ever read

I can barely wrap my head around reading this, let alone how anybody could've written this!

Somehow much easier to read, yet much harder to penetrate than Mason & Dixon. A lot of characters to keep track of. I'm here for the ride, but it's certainly bumpy. The Scarsdale Vibe introductory paragraph is so fun, so heightened, and he's so evil! Can't wait to see where I go from here.
