First audiobook of the year lets gooooo

Thoroughly enjoying this. The audiobook is stellar.

It’s been seven years since i last read this book and something about the fall and darker weather just got me in the mood to reread it again

I love these boys

The book is great yes whatever but i am still SO confused. Where in the world are they?? Fredrik Backman is Swedish. The book was supposedly written in Swedish and, despite being published in the US BEFORE it came out here, translated into English by someone else. There’s Scandi names. So WHY does it mention in passing that characters are speaking in English? Does it take place in another country? I’m so lost!

I am perplexed by if this book was originally written in Swedish or English? I saw that the English edition was published first. And while some characters have very Swedish names (aka Joar), i feel like the story feels a little geographically ambiguous
