Well written, with interesting characters

Lily & Sebastian have great best friend chemistry. I enjoyed the story, & the author's style of writing. It was refreshing to read about an intelligent woman, who is also strong and brave. It's fun to watch this duo get out of trouble.

I'll be honest, I purchased this book because I named my daughter, Oksana, and my name is Maria (like the author)However; I was a little disappointed in the story. I'm tired of Ukrainians (which I am) viewed negatively every time they are mentioned.Oksana's parents, and Baba, are verbally abusive,and disconnected.Oksana travels as a young girl from Ukraine to America, and her adventures with her parents & Baba.
